Mini Takes the States 2014
Official site is up, but sign up's aren't until late March
. Who's planning on going? Anyone planning on going the whole way?
My wife and I are planning on catching the group in Colorado and driving with them through Austin or Dallas. Any knowledge to pass down for our first ride?

I've gone the past two MTTS for varying lengths and there has been a registration tent with attendees joining the fun and receiving their goodie bags at each stop along the way. I don't see why this time should be any different.
I live out in the Utah west desert, so I plan on meeting up with the group in West Wendover, Nevada, and riding along across the Utah desert to Salt Lake City. Hopefully we can race on the Bonneville Salt Flats while we are out there. Looks like fun!
A bunch of us from the Southern Ontario Mini Club (SOMC) and the Quebec club are joining Mini Canada's "Invasion" and crossing over into Buffalo on Thursday.
Happy Motoring!

Wife.gov and I will be joining MTTS in Buffalo. How do we determine when and where to meet up and sign in? We are already registered.
Update. Found the agenda on MTTS site

This is one I put together for the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour (looks better in Google Docs, but I just copied and pasted):
BRP Tour 2014
Tips & Tricks
Things to bring:
some cash in case we run into a cash only place or to buy THMMC stuff
FRS/GMRS radios tuned to channel 20/20
radio charger
extra batteries
smartphone charging cables
a spare tire if you have one
an air pump if you have one
a tire patch kit (especially if you do not have runflat tires)
jacket/sweatshirt for cool mornings
rain gear
cleaning/detailing supplies
a spare towel (always have your towel)
sunscreen
hat
walking/hiking shoes if not worn when driving
motion sickness medicine for passengers
Chapstick
folding lawn chair
bug spray/repellent
cameras cause we love photos and video
cooler full of drinks and snacks (cheaper than stores and easy to grab a fresh one when we stop at an overlook)
To do before you depart:
check tire pressures
check oil level
check coolant level
attend to any maintenance that will be due (the BRPT will rack up a good 500 miles plus whatever it takes for you to get there and get home - could easily be 1,000 miles)
charge batteries
make sure SD cards for cameras are not full
wash your MINI (ok, not necessary, but if you are doing this event you probably suffer from Obssessive Compulsive MINI Disorder - OCMD - and will do this anyway)
To do during the event:
HAVE FUN!
Make friends!
Enjoy motoring!
Get lots of pictures and video
Despite the rush at times, take time to enjoy the beauty of the BRP
Look out for wildlife
Clean your MINI at every opportunity OR refuse to clean your MINI the whole trip
