2008 non-S - Engine idle not consistent, studder,
2008 non-S - Engine idle not consistent, studder,
I took my Mini into the dealer two weeks ago for my idle not being consistent and studdering (and the check engine light on misfire in cylinder #3).
Ignition coils, spark pugs and injectors changed. Paid and took the car home. Before getting home the same thing started again. Took it back to the dealer. I was informed after 2 days that it is believed to be a damaged head. So either a cylinder head replacement or engine replacement.
So I am writing to ask if replacing the head or engine is common at this mileage (84,040) on a 2008 and for any suggestions you may have.
Thanks in advance!
