Window Tinting and Stripe Install Dallas, TX area...
The best best is to hook up with your fellow MINIacs in the DFW area & ask who they've used. I saw Metroplexmini.org mentioned in reply to your post in in the Intro section, as one resource for local referrals and group motoring fun.
When I was looking for window tint here in Tampa Bay the local MINI club definitely pointed me in the right direction.

After doing research on the window tint I decided on looking for an installer with ceramic non-metallic tint, one piece heatgun formed rear window, and computer cut film, and someone not in their garage but rather someone with lots of tinting experience.
I am scheduled for a tint install with SunTek Carbon series ceramic tint 35% installed for $250 in two weeks. I will post photos once installed. Ceramic supposedly does not block/slow down transmission of cell phone signals and GPS signals. I ended up with two options between FormulaOne Pinnacle series vs. SunTek Carbon series. I was quoted everything from $600 to $250--a pretty wide range. I also considered Huber-Optik Ceramic, but it appeared a little bluish/gray. I visited one local installer but after close inspection his lines were not the straight so I decided to go where all cars are tinted (AZ).
SunTek’s Carbon (from their web site)
A proprietary construction that utilizes unique and innovative
Carbon technology Non-reflective, “black” finish that will not fade
Great solar performance with advanced UV protection
No metal layers that can cause interference with cell phone, radio,
or navigation system signals on high-end vehicles
Lifetime Manufacturer’s Warranty, that includes fading
