Winnie's Christmas Surprise!

Winnie the MINI is almost out of her 'free' maintenance period, so she is getting some gear to prepare her for a clean oil future. She received ramps and a wheel chock, which are low enough to clear her bumper, as well as an oil change kit from CRAP Industries to make it easy for me to have all of the tools I need to do the work myself. She already has the CravenSpeed dipstick, and in fact, we just ordered one for the Coupe as well. Between the ramps, the tools, and the dip stick, changing the oil and keeping the level checked will be a cinch.
The ramps give plenty of clearance.

Here is the kit, which comes with the bag and everything you need to change the oil, and the air filter too. I think there is a tool that is specific to the turbo as well, but since Winnie doesn't have one, I won't be using it.

I'm putting the rest of my 'emergency' tools into the bag as well, and one quart of oil because you never know. Doesn't she look a bit smug, up on those ramps?

The Oil Change Kit is on the CRAP Industries website, and right now they have a Cyber Monday sale going on, 20% off only TODAY if you use the special buttons. I'm considering the skid plate for R56s, which would be really cool and protective for those times when you go down the freeway and there's something in your lane that you can't avoid.
They also have lift kits for R56 and R60/61, hitches, roof racks, and all kinds of interesting stuff. No, I don't work for them, but I like their products!

I picked up the Craven Speed dipstick from Way Motor Works on Friday, in the NAM Group Buy that he offered. Spend your money with the vendors that are supporting our crazy MINI love!
