R53s are not meant to be offshore

It is a painful experience as the suspension does not damper any of the bumps or waves.....especially when there is a small craft advisory like today. Blah....and I don't get seasick!!!

Couldn't you just get out of the car and get a bit of freah air rather than being jarred in the MINI?

Typically yes, but with ambient temps in the high twenties combined with damp 55kph winds out of the north makes for a COLD bit of fresh air.

Ah yer from the east coast just like me. What's better than a little cold, wind and salt spray to perk you up

Hope you had a good crossing nonetheless. Whate ferry were you on?

Local one in Penobscot bay. Sadly I prefer to get out, but the crossing is 20min and you are packed in like sardines preventing you from opening the doors without difficultly. Now the Canadian ferries.....that's another story...SOOOOOO much better. I love the deer lsle ferries. Free and comfortable.
