Got my R53 Tuned at BRENTUNING!

Today I brought my mini over to BrenTuning in Worcster MA area. After a bunch of emails back and forth with Brendan things were set, and he got me in nice and quick.

I have an 04 Mini Cooper s 6 speed
Alta intake with box top
Samco intake hose
Alta Diverter
Alta 17% pulley
MSD Ignition
NGK 1 step colder plugs
Detroit Tuned BPV
JCW catback.

A stock R53 makes 145whp on their mustang dyno

With my mods I made 174hp.

Bren showed me I was running dangerously lean and my low end was non-existant. It was running 14.7 to around 4000 rpms!

Bren got it down to 11.0 across the boards.

The common Flatspot* was gone. Low end is amazing. and my final numbers were astounding.

205whp 180wtrq on a mustang dyno!!!

Slightly larger injectors would have added around 5more hp on top, but the stockers did just fine.

I highly recommend BrenTuning. The guys there were extremely helpful, and knowledgable. Brendan listened when i told him my main goal was safety, and that it is my daily driver with 120k miles.

pricing was more than acceptable in compairson to 1000+ from bytoech + tunes or jan tunes with flash software and dyno time.

I would bump up to at least 380cc injectors your stocker injectors I am sure are tacked out max duty. Were you running lean at all at WOT ?

What caused it to run so lean?

I am tuned to 11.0 across the boards which is perfectly safe, but at around 6600rpms it tails up to 11.2. I never go above 6500 anyways. injectors would make it a bit safer but im not in any danger now!

updated with graph, the 205hp graph got messed up with the line going crazy due to an early throttle lift off.
