When I was first looking at the Mini I wondered if the kids would fit in the back seat. I was pleasantly surprised to discover the back is bigger than I expected.

In case someone else is wondering the same thing, here is a picture of my five and two year olds in their car seats in my R50. They love the Mini!

 

I'll second that. Our 9 year old loves our MINIs (we have two R50's) and we recently added now 2 month old Hazel Grace. Infant seats fit in the back of a MINI as well- at least the Chicco KeyFit 30 does. It's the only one we found that can be snugged up tight in the back seat and is narrow enough to fit through the open door when the seat is moved forward. Also, the Britax B-Agile stroller fits nicely in the boot.

Luckily I'm short so she still can put her legs down.
She just can't kick the seat.
