OK, I'll Keep It!!
Hello all,
A couple of weeks ago, I responded to a member who was contemplating a manual shift MINI, but had never driven a stick. I responded by saying that I had recently bought my first MINI, a manual, and that, for various reasons, I was already considering trading it for an automatic.
Well, I gave it some more time, and sanity returned and laziness departed before I could trade it in. What a relief. I noticed that I was again shifting without thinking about it and enjoying the little fella's driving characteristics.
The capper came yesterday; it was a beautiful day here in the NYC area and I decided, for the first time since I bought the car, to go for a drive for the pure enjoyment of driving it. And, oh man, did I enjoy it! Windows and sunroof open, AC off, and exhaust note trailing musically along!
Drove north and found myself on roads I had not traveled in the past. What a kick. This is what driving a MINI is about. I would never have enjoyed it so much in our Audi.
So, I invite you to meet "Jeeves": '07 MCS, Chili Red, lounge leather black w/cream piping, white sunroof, white bonnet stripes, chrome mirror caps, cold weather package, sport suspension, nav, lots of other stuff.
BY the way, I got it at Prestige MINI in Ramsey, NJ. MA was Terry; nice guy and low pressure sales approach. I recommend him.
You can now count me in as a MINI enthusiast.

Congrats sh13 for you have discovered the joy of owning a MINI! We welcome you and Jeeves to the NAMily and the world of MINI.. You are now a bonafide MINIac!
