Brand New 2005 MCS! (well, almost brand new)

A while ago, I was asked what car I would get if I were buying one today. I replied that I wouldn't even considering buying anything because I love my 04 MCS too much, but if I had to buy something I would look for an 05-06 MCS to replace it.

Fortunately, I don't have to do that, but if I did...well I just saw http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-S-ONLY-2-900-MILES-1-OWNER-MILES-SMELLS-NEW-/141087146858?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item20d973036a#ht_24203wt_1167 on eBaby Motors with 2,900 miles on it! No, that figure isn't missing a zero!

I'm sure a thorough inspection would be in order because driving a car less that 3,000 miles in 8 years or so could lead to some issues. But how cool would it be to have an almost brand new R53?!

I saw that one too as I'm in the market for another MCS. If it was any color other than white I would go look at it. I would be concerned about all the rubber seals being brittle.

I'm with the OP. Nothing against the second gen crowd at all, but the more I see R56s and pics of the F56, the more I love my R53. If that car passed a thorough PPI it'd be such a steal, a basically as-new R53 just oozes WIN.

I was forced with this decision after getting in an accident. Insurance totaled my car. I couldn't find anything I liked for the price. So I bought my car back and am restoring it myself. It will be like new when I am done. The newer mini just doesn't do it for me. However a classic I would go for.

Wow! Talk about putting your money where your mouth is! Do you have a thread here on NAM about your project?

Second this... I love my R53... The R56s appear to be just a bit 'off'... its a subtle change but enough for me to pick up on it and dislike it.
