Seriously...

I just bought 2002 MCS. The PO apparently broke the dipstick. I ordered a replacement. It's on backorder. I want to check the oil level and I have no idea what the "Made in China" dipstick should read.

Could someone please measure the distance from the end of the oil tube to the "full" mark on a stock dipstick so I can mark mine. This should suffice until my order arrives.

I measure 21 and 5/8 inches from the end of the oil tube to the full mark on the dipstick.

 

You could ask another MINI owner to borrow their dipstick for a quick check of your oil.

 

cravenspeed dipstick is 21 inches from where it seats itself in the housing to the tip of the dipstick.

There are over 1000 in US MINI warehouses and some 2K of them in Germany...

 

Bentley manual was backordered as well. May shop around for a new vendor.
