Pricing

I am in the market for a new 2013 Cooper S. Maybe even the Coupe S. However, I don't see a lot of specific pricing info anywehre on this forum to give me a good gauge of what a realistic price at a dealership is right now. Are people getting close to invoice pricing or is it closer to MSRP right now? I live in SoCal if it makes a difference.

Depends on the dealer. Go to www.miniusa.com and look up the special rates and incentives. The mark up is different on both cars you mentioned. So the roadster has more room to move. However, there isn't a lot of mark up in any MINI. Expect $750 and up to be the national discount average between the two. Good Luck

Thanks....So you are saying the average discount is about $750 under MSRP?

I was hoping it would be greater especially with the 14's on the horizon.

Yes... Depending on rebates and other offers it can be more. I'd say $750 off msrp is a good average. It may be more or less depending on the car and dealer, but that's a great middle ground

You won't find awesome deals because a) no major changes on the '14s and b) demand is high enough that they don't really have to.

I just got my '13 MCS about three weeks ago. I got $700 off MSRP and .9% APR. I also got the EXACT car I wanted, so I felt pretty happy with the deal. If you buy right off the lot (nothing custom ordered) you might be able to save a little more.

I was in the same situation as you almost a year ago looking for a new MINI. Around fall, MINI USA has some sort of incentive program (Oktoberfest, Not So Normal Sale, etc). Usually its for $750 off MSRP. If you can land anywhere between $1000 to $2000 off MSRP, you will be doing average. This thread might be helpful:
