Cooper transmission

A little info please. I had a 2006 Mini a few years ago. Back then, the auto trans in the non S version required you to pump the accelerator in order to get a little burst of speed (for passing). Do the 2013's have this feature? I disliked it very much.

Er.....that cooper had the very unreliable CVT tranny....and it sounds a like it was NOT working right for you back then....
Go test drive a newer one!!
