Vacation starts tomorrow!

Wife and I went out west last year so this time east. She likes National Parks and me I just like to drive BabyDoll! Caves, Parks etc here we come. Oh "The Dragon" will somehow end up in my sights. Maybe on to Myrtle and Charleston, SC. Got almost 2 weeks to roam. Wish us luck!

Have fun and motor safely !

And yeah, if you get within 200 miles of the Dragon and don't make a detour, you should have your motoring license revoked.

The Falls are nice, the Canadian side is the best though! If you keep on going east Acadia National Park in Maine is the best in the east. IMO and fun to drive! Have fun. The Mohonk Preserve in New Paltz NY is amazing too

I'm looking forward to driving my new MCS in the Adirondack Mountains of NY in a couple weeks. Driving anything there is fun, so the MINI should be a real blast!

For anyone going into the Adirondacks, a must drive is Rt 10 north off of the Thruway. The best way to get to it is Rt 30 north out of Amsterdam, Rt 29 west for a few miles to Rt 29A north to Rt 10. Or pick up Rt 10 off the Thruway at Canajoharie. You won't be disappointed.

Driven about 900 miles so far. Just got to Erie,Pa. Getting right at 35 mpg so far which is great because finding gas I like to run is impossible. Using Puregas app so I'm doing ok. Illinois roads are trashed, plus there's been no mowing along roadways and trees are growing out overhanging the roads and being prevented from growing out any further by the big rigs knocking off the the leaves and limbs. Pitiful DOT.
Great drive along Lake Erie lakeshore speed limits are 35-45. After we got out of there and past Cleveland I scooted to Erie and made great time even with a lot of construction.
The MINI makes any road fun though. Lots of complements everywhere we go. Will update later down the road. Hopefully Niagara Falls tomorrow!

Sounds like a good route to try sometime. We're going to be in the Schroon Lake area, almost 2 hours from there.

Niagara Falls was pretty neat. Headed to Acadia and made it as far as Utica, NY. Had breakfast in the MINI overlooking Lake Erie just a hour or so after sunrise. 1300 miles and counting. Passed a Clubman with Kansas plates (Wandir) just before Syracuse. Maybe we'll see them at Acadia!

Have fun. I rode my bicycle up Cadillac Mt last time I was there. Your sure to have more fun going up but I may have had more fun going down . ( or close to as much fun)

We started from Springfield , Mo. Today we circled Mount Desert Island with stops at Cadillac Mountain, Thunder hole , Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor. Also ran on to 5 couples motoring in Austin Healeys. That was so cool!

The folks doing The Great Ice Cream Run 4 should be showing up this evening in their MINIs.

Made it home last night after a 1,054 mile 16 hour day behind the wheel! Total miles 3,584 of pure joy. Had driven 600 Sunday from Bar Harbor to mid Pa. Changed oil and filter before we left and checked at every stop. Never used a drop but its pretty dark after hard running. I've had lots of other cars but this is by far the most fun I've ever had behind the wheel!
