Funny... this will be MINI number six between me and my pretty half. The MINIs keep getting more expensive and the ordering more labor intensive.

But very exciting each and every time!!

For me, the wait time was six weeks, right on the money, with delivery to the west coast. Got my car last Sunday. What a freakin' blast!

I think I'm going to stay looking for a used one. Wanted to wait later in the year after we move so we don't have to move two cars. My ability to drive long distances is compromised by my injury.

I loved choosing on the configurator the first time but I've decided that there are so many combinations I'd be very happy with I'm ok going used.

Also, I'm thinking of getting another supercharged drop top first and seeing what happens with the F55. If I end up liking it then I'll be glad I waited. If I don't, maybe the R55 will drop a little in price due to it being the old model.

Sounds like a logical plan.

yep, two of mine were previously owned and I've enjoyed them every bit as much as the new ones. I enjoyed giving them some TLC and making them look great again. Amazing what you can do with a good r/o buffer and the right polish. People look at the 05 Justa I bought last year and think it's a new car. It has 78,000 miles on it now. I did spend over $1200 to have some mechanical issues taken care of though.

Original color combo! And going for a very fast (and expensive!) one this time around... Nice!

LOL... two drivers. We don't have all six still... just three right now, will be four when I add my JCW.

Trying to teach my son to drive a stick so that when he leaves for the Air Force next year, he can take the 05 Justa as his own car.

That's awesome... I always like to detail my MINI.. My MINI also looks like new ha ha ... One thing I did also do was changed all the fluids in my car even when told it wasn't needed... I went to synthetics on just about everything that I could... I have to be one of the rare ones that haven't done anything to my MINI for repairs..hitting the big 100k and it still is golden.. But with that said I have done your normal wear and tear items!!

That is a pretty rare feat... only wear and tear items. I'm going to buy the extended warranty on my JCW but after hearing that, I'm wondering if it's a decent investment.

We most definitely are !

We've had other vehicles since our first MINIs were purchased in 2006 though. We had an Infiniti SUV and a Land Rover. But pretty soon, we'll be back to having nothing but MINIs.

Ha Ha well I think the extended warranty is still a good idea... these cars do have there corks about them.. But honestly I think by changing the fluids to synthetics is key really...IMO.. I have a 2003 MCS.. never touched a thing to be honest.. nothing at all major that is... But I did flush or change every possible fluid in the car!! ha ha..
