Extra HOT Summer Considerations

For those of you who drive your MINI's in super hot summers (i.e., Las Vegas, Phoenix, etc.), do you do anything differently to cope with the heat?

It just seems like these cars get very HOT already by themselves, and I'm wondering if the extreme summer heat on top of that is known to cause any additional problems. And, if so, are there ways to cope with the heat to avoid them?

Just keep on eye on the coolant and oil. Change the coolant every 2 years IMO. Change oil at 5k again IMO.
