MINI Fuel System Cleaner

Sorry if this is on the wrong category of the forum but I wanted to ask how exactly do you use the fuel system cleaner? I fill up on gas on my MINI when there's 2 bars left on the gas gauge. Do I put the fuel system cleaner while I'm filling up on gas? Do I pour it when my tank is almost empty THEN fill it up? Sorry this might be a dumb question but I wanted to know because I have about 12k miles now and I would like to use it.

Read the directions?
Think the mini branded stuff was cheveron techron....
Good stuff, but it is a waste of $$ on a direct injected motor if you expect it to reduce csrbon build-up on thr intake valves....
it will help clean the injectors themselves on a direct injection motor, but little else.

Mini fuel system cleaner is indeed Chevron Techron and the only differences is the price (Mini charges twice as much) and the bottle (thchron bottle with Mini label).
Techron will keep the injectors clean but will do little to prevent carbon build-up. to lessen carbon buildup I use only ethanol free fuel.
wait until your gas tank is about 3 ticks from empty and put the techron in and then fill with fuel.

Sorry the directions doesn't give specifics on WHEN to put it in the tank and stuff.

it doesnt really matter when you add it to your fuel, as it will all mix together whilst driving.

ide imagine it may mix together a little better if you add it to an almost empty tank then refuel........but i dont think youll notice a difference.

Woah! You can find Ethanol Free fuel? I'm so jealous

Back to the question, I usually add it before I fill up. But that's just my process.
