A very Neat Phone Call

I purchased my MINI Countryman in February. Today I got a call from MINI / BMW to make sure I was enjoying my MINI and if I had any questions about the car.

How kewl is that.

They are really trying to be different. I asked the guy how long MINI has been doing this and he said since the beginning of the year.

I then asked him if this was a separate company or MINI. Of course, he said MINI. It was a dumb question, what other answer would I expect.

MINI is making the purchase of the commodity called a car and turning it into an EXPERIENCE....and thus far it has been a wonderful adventure. Now if I could just break away from the MINI long enough to put some miles on my FJR.

Willie

Do MINI still send out welcome packages to new owners? For my R53 and R56 I got different things like a mouse pad, notebook, stickers, pens, signs to flash at other drivers and other cool stuff. Also for the R53 I remember getting an overlay for the toggle switches with things like Rockets, Oil Slick etc. I hope they still do fun stuff like that.

I don't know if they still do, that's why I was asking. I got packages from MINI 2-3 months after taking delivery of each of my last 2 cars so you'll probably forget all about it until something arrives.

Took a page from Saturn's play book. They created a true following. It wasnt because of the car. Lol

I got mine in July and a kit similar to what you described came just last month. There was another one at an earlier date, but this was the best one yet. Even came with a 1GB flash drive encased in a silicone cooper hardtop.
