Mini GP

I was surprised to see this GP in Crevier Mini's showroom having thought they were few and far between. The fact is, the dealer has already sold 5 and are due for an extra allotment of 5 more.

The car is priced at $40K and is an all out race machine. There isn't a back seating area which is dedicated to some sophisticated suspension handling stuff. The tires are definitely for racing.

Nice find.

Was there a number sticker above the drivers door ?

I'll have to look next time I am there. You mean like an edition number?

Yes, curious to see if they are all getting stickers. Edition Number.

I'm not too totally surprised because the GP's asking price is probably too much to swallow for a lot of people. At that price, I could pick up an E90 M3 and have much more fun than in the GP and have my '10 MCS and still kick *** on the track.

Just emailed my MA on the number. Will advise shortly.

This model targets the heavy duty racing guys. Reportedly, the exhaust tone is gnarly. Everything about the car is impressive in this regard. Admittedly, I didn't spend too much time with it and turned down an offer to get in and try out the Recaros.

Yeah but seriously....do you think many GP2 owners are really going to track their cars? Come on really...

It's a garage queen. But for those that actually do, I hope I see them at the track, that would be sick.

Update: All GP's will have decal number applied by the dealer. It will go above the driver side door. Still waiting for its size and sequential number.

We would. I'm quite tempted, but the wife is dubious about the lack of back seat. We only just bought the JCW last year more or less as the track car.

Three GP's at my dealer last week. All three sold. I was told they still have some available if I wanted to order one. No mad money at the moment...

It was probably already sold! Maybe they gave the guy a discount for letting them show it off a few days

lol I doubt it, there's not very much discount room for these cars unless you play the game. Either way was cool to see in person

I was there today and saw one in the show room and at least two more in the back lot.

Update: I finally was able to get a picture of the decal on the GP. It was above the driver's door. This particular dealership had 11 of these and have 4 left. This one had a sold sign on it.
