not necessarily. I normally use shipito.com which often works out far cheaper when shipping internationally.

I have a U.S. address that I have 8/10 of my state-side orders sent to, and never have an issue with vendors sending my stuff there. WMW won't allow it smdh. Would've gotten my suspension setup ages ago if it was nice and easy.

Sounds like the foreign credit card might be part of the issue....like wmw said, they cannot process those orders....sounds like time to use a prepaid card....like many candians use to buy some i-tunes content on apple service.....the us shipping address is just part of the solution....
It is a shame how a few scammers can make life hard for so many, but when the choice is closing up shop, or finding ways to avoid them, make the choice easy imo.

Wow, so we are screwed even if we were to ring them anyway. This is a bit of a shame. The amount of effort to go to for on my order which is only an air filter and minifini grill it seems Alot easier to shop at another store than setup a prepaid us credit card.

I too am overseas and have e-mailed Way many times with no reply. Just too bad we can't order parts from him. Is there any other way we can transact with Way? Say, wire transfer? I too have a consolidator in California and ships it to me.

Maybe Way is open to the wire transfer?

Probably the best thing to do would be to call Way and see if he would be willing to do that.

He will do WT's, but again, stand in line at the bank n wait or quickly and efficiently use my CC from home...hmmm, I know which choice I'm picking.

I'm all the way here in the Philippines and the only way I was able to buy from WMW was when I asked my mom if I could use her U.S. credit card to get parts because WMW doesn't accept payment from non-U.S. credit cards. Paypal would be better, since it somehow addresses the issue of using fake credit cards but WMW doesn't accept that also. Well, I did exchange a few PMs with Way a few years back about making an exception (Paypal payment) for a NAMer but to no avail.

A bit OT but a few weeks ago, my wife wanted to buy some stuff from Kate Spade. We actually had to ask a friend in the U.S. to buy the stuff for us from their site using her credit card because again, the site doesn't accept payment from non-U.S. credit cards. Of course, I had to shoulder the 3% fee when I sent payment to my friend. Tsk.

I guess my point is...hey, we got money to spend too!

Guys, I think the bottom line is that he is choosing not to do business with anyone outside of the US. He got burned and made a statement about it on here a while back. I know it sucks, but that is the way it is and he has that right. Sadly a few bad folks ruined it for the rest.

+1
Getting the "non local" imported goodies does feel special.....and to get them it CAN mean extra work....part of the price of buying what is not locally available. Simple.
some places are set up for international sales, some are not. Wmw is not. Get over it!! It will be one of the "locals" joints for a bit....not a local...get a friend to buy it for you, then ship it to you!!
Every community has a few local secrets...just ours got out!!

I've dealt with WMW a few times, always by phone call, and they've always been a pleasure to deal with.

I cannot comment on their email response times.

I've done some business with Way before. But not from home. The last time I bought something from WMW, I emailed them to let them know what I was looking for, then attended AMVIV (a 22 hour drive) and had everything installed right there by Way himself

(warning: shameless plug) I highly recommend any MINI owner attend a big MINI event at least once.

I have ordered only a couple times from WMW and each time has been trouble free. Thanks Way! Emails received confirming order and the next day a couple emails saying your order has shipped. I can't ask for anything more

I have dealt with Way for all my perf parts and have nothing but love for them. I just sent them an IM that you are trying to contact them. Don't lose faith they are a great company to do business with.
