If I had purchased black or dark gray, those would be awesome. It would have been much simpler to add pink.

I've seen a matte pink Phantom driving around Hollywood that looks pretty cool. One of the places I was checking out did a 911 in matte pink too:

There is a brand new Cadillac at the local Caddy dealer that is wrapped in pink. Personally, I like pink cars if they have a retro feel. The MINI looks great. I have also seen a 2004 Thunderbird that was lovely. Now had I seen this Tbird, I might not be driving a MINI today...

I took a peek at the orange crush paint job and jut seeing that poor mini disassembled made me realize I absolutely cant do a repaint.

So while looking for pink examples on autos, I came across this Harley on eBay, "pink trash". I thought it was interesting as it started off with a red base coat and they put pink panels accented with gold. A VERY bold statement.

Any advice on how to go pink? Could I manage to add it to the red without looking too gawdy?

It's your car. I would make it pink and make it go faster and surprise people rather than just an attention getter. I feel the car is already unisex enough and I'm trying to get as far away from that aesthetically as fast as possible on my mini.

Try one of the NAM vendors like SewellParts.com, search on part numbers:

Powerfold: 51162179760 (R) and 51162179761 (L)
Non-Powerfold: 51162157402 (R) and 51162157401 (L)

Here's one heck of a pink Mini I came across while searching for mirror caps.
