Garage Widows
Hi Fellow Garage Widows!!
Here I am new to forums of any description and not really able to discuss tech stuff. BMWFatherFigure is for ever in the workshop fixing cleaning and tuning.
OK we get the drives too, work permitting but it would be good to contact other widows and owners.
Mine is a Solid Gold Justa 2003. Well spec'd from the factory and I love it - just wish I could get out in it more.
So tell me about yourselves, Girls!

Well, I'm not a Garage Widow, actually the hubby is the one in the house waiting for me to finish messing with the cars and come inside.
Though I'm not a gearhead, so my mods are things like third brake pulsars, stealth bulbs, and painting dash panels. And every Friday I wash and clean my Winnie, then on Saturday morning I wash and clean hubby's Jasper. I've removed the grills, taken apart the dashes, and broken into the interior trim for installations, but our MINIs are too new, and we are not prone to performance mods, for much more than that.
Every week, though, I check the fluids and tire pressure, which is far more than I ever did with the cars we used to own. Something about a MINI compels us to spend time with them. It is their charm and their appeal.

I'm happily single so no garage widow here. New to MINIs. Mine is a 2013, chili red S hardtop, JCW aero and interior, mini connect w/nav, keyless-go, blk headlights, upgraded stereo, sunroof, and some other stuff I forgot.
Funny story about men and garages. I had a single girlfriend who was complaining she was unable to catch the eye of a single man on her block. I told her tinker around in her garage with the door open the next weekend and see what happens. Sure enough, she sat out there painting some furniture with the door open and her neighbor wondered over to introduce himself. What is it about men and garages?

Funny how some men are attracted to female 'bonnet ornaments' (that's hood ornaments for you Americans) and others, to women who don't mind getting their hands dirty occasionally. I am certainly not a bonnet ornament, being a grandmother of 2, but I don't mind helping out MINIFatherFigure when I am allowed. I am usually relegated to the vacuuming, but sometimes he needs someone to fetch a tool while under the car, or push the pedal when he's bleeding the brakes
