Convertible in a Northeastern (US) winter?

How practical or impractical is it? Considering trading my ride for one. I'm wondering if any of you have been sorry for getting a soft top when it snows a lot.

No issue

There is no issue! I have been driving the MINI ragtop since 2006
Living in Ohio we get tons of snow.

I'm in the northeast and drive mine year round. It's always parked outside. A couple years ago we had a pretty harsh winter with tons of snow. At one point there was a good 3 feet of snow on the soft top and it held up great. The tops on these cars are put together very well and are insulated pretty good.

My other year round car is a BMW Z3. Never had any problems with it in cold/snowy or wet weather.

Picked up a MCSc about two weeks ago. My first Mini and first convertible. I only have about an hour on the openometer, and can't wait for summer. Still, if the temps are in the 40s, and you dress warmly, driving topless is entirely doable.

Thanks for the responses. I was more concerned about snow piling up on top since I have no garage to store it during a storm or whatnot. I wanted to trade in my All4 for a coupe or possibly a convertible. I haven't seen any slightly used roadsters yet.
