Hello, I am new to this site. I live in California and after doing some research I am looking to buy a 2007/08 Mini Cooper convertible with the Sidewalk package. I understand they are tought to find but I am not in a hurry. Really would appreciate any advice on how to find one.

MINI Of Ontario used to have one. I believe it may have been one of the "Last of the Supercharged" but it didn't have a badge on it to be certain. I snapped a pic of the window sticker. This was back quite a few months ago but it had a $27k sticker, it may be worth a call to see if it's still there or if they did a dealer trade or something.


EDIT:
I just noticed it doesn't say sidewalk anywhere on the sticker but it definitely was a sidewalk edition.

I don't know what direction you are looking to buy (private vs dealer), but Craigslist here in AZ (Tucson, to be exact) has one for sale privately. I don't know how far you are willing to travel, but I just thought I would throw that out there

Someone bought the one at Mini of Ontario in August... It is/was a Sidewalk edition. Good luck on your search!!

 

When I was looking last spring they weren't that rare. I saw at least 6 for sale around the country, mostly on the east coast though. I really liked the British Racing Green versions.
My wife hated the basketball seat colour, so we went with a regular model with leather sport seats.
Most of my searches were on Autotrader.com

 

If you are still looking for a sidewalk package MINI, I am looking to sell my 2008 MINI Cooper S Sidewalk. It is Pepper White with a Black convertible top. I am the original owner, (it is my wife's car), and we have put 50,000 miles on it. Always garage kept. Sad to sell it since we special ordered it from England just the way we wanted it. It is in very nice shape. Based on some looking around, it looks like about $20,000 is a fair price.

I have not listed it anywhere yet.

haha, mine did come with a special license plate that enables you to drive on certified sidewalks...

Actually it is a rare special edition convertible available in late '07 and early '08. It had "Nightspoke" 17" rims and "English Malt Brown" leather seats, (among other misc. options). You could not get these seats or rims in any other way and they look very nice.
