#miniproblems

So my little guy R56 started making some weird rumbling noises under the hood, I'm a wreck thinking about how expensive this might be! I checked the oil and it was fine, so not sure if its the timing tensioner or something else. Taking it in today to get checked, wish me luck!

Oh cool, you found the internet-witty button on your keyboard

Turns out the weird rumbling noise is due to carbon build up, I'm almost at 100K so Its having the walnut blast and a tune up, will pick it up tomorrow hopefully that will solve the problem.

Picked up the car today, I have to say there is def. a difference in power in the car, Its running a lot less sluggish and I don't hear the nose I was hearing prior to the carbon blast. I'll have to see tomorrow morning when I leave for work at 0600, its supposed to be 45 degrees out!

I did the same thing last week and had the carbon cleaned up and it made a huge difference. If you want to get ballsey get water-meth and it will prevent the carbon from coming back but, you will also need to have the car tuned to run it effectively.

Oh and on the internet witty button, no that is just who I am a smart ***.

CooperS84, where did you have it done, and if you don't mind, how much do they charge? I have about 56k on the clock, not sure when I'll need it done.

Thanks

They did an aerosol cleaning. Super cheap and I am going to have do it again at least once more. I can tell the difference. I am not getting the searching idle and it revs a lot more smooth.

Thanks CooperS84. I think I'll give them a call and discuss this with them. If they can do it in one day, I think I'll have them do it!

yes the walnut shell blast did help, I need to bring it in because it is smoking every so often when I'm coming to a stop, I don't think it's the breaks but want to get it checked out
