I'm bummed about Spice Orange going away. Orange is a pretty hard color to get right, and Spice is about as close to right as I've seen MINI get. Volcanic Orange may end up being awesome, but I'll take a known decent orange over an unknown orange any day.
I'm especially worried about Gabriel's reference at motoringfile to Sakura Orange as an example of BMW doing orange properly, since every picture I've seen of Sakura looks like an orange for people who secretly just want a red car. Or, I guess, a car that was red 10 years ago and has faded a bit.
My one rule with orange car paint is that it should never, ever elicit the response "What would you call that? Orange maybe?" If you're buying an orange car, it should be FRIGGING ORANGE.

Motoring File reported on two new colors: Volcanic Orange and Iced Chocolate Metallic. Beyond that, no, we don't know.
Okay, I am going to say it ICE BLUE must stay. It is one of the reto colors back to the 60's mini's but I like it and I am part of a very small exclusive club since i haven't seen another one on the road and no one else is making a car in that pale blue tone. So I am guessing it is going to go away but that is okay......It will be be come a collector car since so few were made compared to the popular colors.

I love my Dark Silver, but I'm kind of glad that I have it and now its out. Makes me feel like the car is that much more special because of it and I'm not a fan of the Eclipse Grey as its replacement. I like the cycles MINI uses to keep it interesting as compared to some of the more mainstream Marques.
I actually miss the original British Racing Green. The BRG II is has too much of a yellow tint that it losses something IMO.

Agree totally with those who sing the praises of Dark Silver... Eclipse Grey is not a worthy replacement. Loved my Dark Silver hatch.
Would love it if they'd bring back Nightfire Red. I actually considered trading in my Clubman on a certified used NFR one locally here recently, but the used one was automatic and poorly optioned. If I could order one I'd likely be at the dealer putting an order in pretty quick.

The Reef Blue offered on the Clubman is very similar to Purple Haze. Purple Haze is one of those weird colors that shifts depending on lighting and accessories. Mine looked much more purple when I had red stripes. It looks alot darker without them. Most people think it is blue.
