Limp mode??

I just replaced my harmonic balancer, fell apart when I got it off, well got the new one installed no issues. Test drove great with the first test drive. On the second test drive I decided to use my paddle shifters. As soon as I slowed down to stop it fell into limp mode again. Shut it off. Started it back and all was good. Drove it another 20 miles and didnt touch the paddle, and it drove fine. Is this telling me I have an issue with the paddles now?.. 2005, Mini S Super charged.

Is the check engine light on. Have you scanned for codes if it is?

CEL did come on along with the EML light. When I shut it down and started it back they both went off instantly.

Make sure you took the pin out of the belt tensioner so it is making the belt tight.

The pin is out. The first hole is still visible. Should it be or not??
