DIY Heated passenger seat heater location?

Hi Fellas,
Working on installing heated seat membranes on an 06 JCW with leatherette sport seats. Driver side went fine so far.

On the passenger side, there is the occupancy sensor, which is like a fabric mat.

My question is for anyone who installed one with sucess, did you put the heating element above the mat (between the sensor membrane and the seat cover), or under it (between the seat foam and the sensor membrane).

Thanks in advance.

I have an '06 MCS, I put the element on top of the sensor element. Works fine so far. Actually it would be very hard to put it underneath since the sensor is designed to tuck down into all the grooves.
