convenience key profile

Hello,

We just received our 2012 mini cooper S coupe. Still learning the about all of the features. There are 2 settings (so far that we know of) that do not seem to be syncing up with the keys:

1. Side mirror settings (probably the most important and basic of settings)

2. Blue tooth pairing, if both are available, it does not seem to pick the one that is associated with the current key profile.

Just trying to get an idea if we need to do something in a special order, or if these things were overlooked by mini.

I just picked up a CMS last night and I think they work the same way. I have MINI connected and phone pairing works by the latest phone paired having the priority. There is no mirror memory feature anywhere.

I was going to say I hadn't heard of a mirror memory feature. That's one I'd like to have, me and the wife are always changing the mirrors.

The bluetooth just has a priority list. The phones it knows about are in a list, it takes the first one in the list it finds. You can change the order of the list.

The car is primarily for the GF to drive, so I can delete my phone from the list (since I will not be driving it much).

I could find anything about a mirror memory in the books, and when we tested it it did not seem to remember. This is disappointing because it is a common feature on other manufactures.

Is there any way to make a feature request to mini? maybe this is something that could be added with a programing update.

I agree a mirror feature would be great. My wife's old CX-7 I could pull off driving without messing with the mirrors. The Clubman I can't. I have to lower the seat as well as slide it back after she drives it and the mirrors just won't work at all.

As far as the phone, just make hers number 1 on the priority list, and then if you ever drive it by yourself, it will automatically pair, but will mainly stick to her phone if she is in the car.

You don't need to delete your phone from the bluetooth, just move it down the list. Then it'll connect to the GF's phone preferentially.
