Serpentine and timing belts

I have a 2004 MINI Cooper R50 with 77,000 miles. How often should I replace the timing and serpentine belts ? Thanks for assisting..

There is no timing belt, it is a chain. Serp belt I change mine around 25k. But I am always checking for cracks in the belt.

Timing chain is basicly good for life...
serp belt...
I change it yearly witg a 17% reduction, every 2 with a 15%, and i think mini reccomends it be done with the stock pulley at inspection 2, which would be about 60,000 miles...seems a bit long for me, and i think most slip and squel before that...seen folks try to dyno cars with slipping belts...they slip a bit..power loss no squell till the slip gets pretty bad.....by then you are lucky not to tear or shread a belt and need a tow, an overheat, and an extra $500 on parts....so my take, a $22 belt and a 95$ tensionee tool and 30 minutes is cheap insurance.
