A friend of mine ran his 2004 Cooper S into a ditch/embankment this morning on his way to work. It's a gravel road with a reverse camber and a nasty bend...anyway.....I took a look at it and it looks like it may amount to about $5,000+...anyone with Esurance able to comment as to whether premium will increase?

I have esurance and while I have not been in any accidents, I have gotten my windshield replaced a few times with no apparent increases. I would imagine that if the claim is their fault that it will increase, but that's just a guess.

 

I have no experience with essurance but my experience with insurance companies is they always get their money back somehow.
I asked the insurance company once if my premium is just insurance that they will loan me the money to fix my vehicle in case of an accident when they pretty much doubled my premium the next year following an accident that they put me 50% responsible for.
