Badges

Hello

Just a question for those with badges on their cars.
Do you have any problems with losing them either to falling of or theft?
How do they affix to grill?
Many Thanks!

GoBadges are strapped on. A lot of the other magnetic badges have mounts that bolt up and are almost impossible to take off with out popping the hood. As far as the ones on the back just a screw driver to take of the license plate can get to them. I figure though if you are taking the plate off of a car you are not interested in the badges as much as your are interested in the license plate.

I've had the magnetic ones on both my MINI's and have had no issues with theft or falling off ( and I have had them up to well over legal speed limits ) - They have even been thru a car wash when I forgot to take them off and held on.

Good luck

I've had both kinds of grille badges:

1.) the bolt-on metal plate, with magnetic vinyl badges
2.) the GoBadge system, which is a plastic base that velcro straps around the grille slats, and then the magnetic cap-dome or cut acrylic badges are held on with a screw-on trim ring.

Both kinds have stayed on at triple-digit speeds (on a track), in driving monsoon-like rain, heavy wet snow, etc. Never had one fall off.

The cheap magnetic vinyl badges scratch easily, and will fade with much sun exposure. The more expensive ones from GoBadges are tougher, and look noticeably more professional. I recommend their stuff.

Search around for threads on the different badge vendors. It sounds like one or two of them may not be as good with customer communication as we might wish.

Thanks again for info. Gonna wait until car arrives so I can see what looks best with Kite Blue color. Jonnieoh - that looks great and good quality. Going to check them out!
