Ew! That's so.... so ................ 70s. Bee Gees. Sunken living rooms.

Would look better on a Dodge Neon. IMO

seriously! The first thing I thought of was a neon green t-shirt I had in the 80's that changed color as the temperature changed! I have to admit tho...I kinda like the neon accent in the stripes. At least that part is subtle.

I kind of already have the stripes part. Black and orange stripes on the Bonnett, Boot, and Sides. The orange reflects light Very well at night. It's two layers. Orange on the bottom, then the black is centered on the orange.

Astetic Creations masterpiece.

Forgot to mention, my MINI's a white topper, covered by the vinyl top. The Bonnett stripes and the top have really subtle ghost flames in them. I wouldn't have gone with this combo myself, (Bought the MINI with the vinyl already on it), but now that I see how cool it looks, and how unique it makes my MINI, I wouldn't trade it for the world!!

It seems MINI is jumping on the 80s retro style bandwagon to appeal to the skinny-jean wearing, dubstep rockin' youths.

MINI really needs to sack these "fashion" people who keep trying to infect their vehicles with "high fashion" and stay the hell away from Milan. Seems like everything they're coming up with these days is ugly as sin (what's the take rate on the MINI Yours "Soda" accessories?).

Where's the "facepalm" emoticon...?

So their MINI colors could match their fixed gear bicycle's paint scheme.

The replies to this post make me very happy I'm part of the MINI community.

I especially enjoyed the "Miami Vice" comment!

Funny how those mirror cover colors (blue, green, orange, yellow, pink) have been available for several years in the parts catalog...
And now they have an massive inventory to essentially get rid of...

Well they have had those mirror caps for awhile now. I think it is interesting and I like those side scuttles. Might not be for everyone but by far is not the ugliest thing I have seen on a MINI. I can think of some pretty stupid vinyls and mods that I ave seen from people here and other forums.

Hey Mini the 70s called, they want their color scheme back.

To the next guy who comments back to me, I'll do it for you.

Hey theging, the 70s called, they want that joke back.

Well, I guess the natural progression of things, if the WRX/STi crowd is to be considered, leads to MINI painting OEM wheels neon turquoise or green from the factory.

I agree, Question I like the no plate look on your Mini,
I just picked mine up on Monday.
I love the no license plate in the front
Just plain allows you to not be distracted from the cool look
What a difference
Mine is the CMall4 wht body black top sunroof.
Anyway nice look I'm not putting a plate on the front I'm sold

Well, we've been complaining around here that the color palette available for new MINIs is "bland" and "boring" (how many gray/silver/blue shades do we need again? -- says the guy with the Ice Blue car). Those are anything but bland or boring.

My wife threatened to buy the orange ones to put on Fenimore, and then get a big GULF OIL sticker for the bonnet. :D

With the price of gas you may as well buy a bulls eye sticker!

Actually, I'm thinking of an old-style Mobil Pegasus (in red), plus changing the pinstripe edges on my white bonnet stripes from black to red. And maybe changing the chrome beltline to red.

No, I haven't been thinking about this in a slightly-obsessive manner, why do you ask?
