Template to make your own Grill Badge?
Template to make your own Grill Badge?
O.K., I've searched several times and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
I have bought some of the magnet material that you can print on using a laser printer and was going to play with designing my own grill badges. Then I realized that I have NO idea how to go about designing one.
I've seen the sticky post with all of the different ones that you can use in your signature, but can't figure out how to get them to a size that I could come close to using to create a grill badge. Additionally, which would be the easiest editor to use in the process?
As I'm obviously too dense to figure this out on my own, I thought I'd take the chance to ask someone here if they have any suggestions.

I use Paint or Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Neither are super powerful but they work well for resizing or combining images.
Another way to check how your image would look as a grill badge is to go to zazzle.com and set up the image as a 3" round sticker. The setup tool will alert you if the image is too small and might be too distorted.
Have fun!

Office supply stores, such as Staples and Office Depot.
I have here in my drawer a partial package of Office Depot magnet sheets, part number 652-061. They are not very weather-proof, as I discovered after making a stick-on boot label for my Clubman.

I found the office supply sheets of magnetic material to be too weak. I ordered a sheet of material from buildasign.com. The other alternative is to try a sign-making company in your area that does magnetic door signs for vehicles.
I made a few of my own badges, using this material. I sprayed them with a clear sealer, which improved the durability some.
