While driving past another vehicle last week, something flew up hit my mini. now it has scratches and dents right behind the passenger front tire but before the passenger door. I took it to one auto body shop and they will have to also paint the door, hood and fender to feather in the paint. which is fine, but it will take 7 to 10 days for them to do. that seems like a long time to me..

Later today I will take it to another place and get another estimate.....

 

That seems excessive, in my opinion.

 

I thought so too...Sounds like they are going to repaint half of the mini and replace the hood stripes.

 

Same situation -- but I asked about paintless dent repair, and they said they could do it for $125! But it supposedly only takes out 85% of it ... I can let you know how it looks when done.

I went and got an estimate from another shop and they said that they will paint the fender and fade it into the door, and take the dents out. It will take them four days instead.

 

What does the dent look like. I got one on my passenger door sometime last week and I was looking into dismantling my door to access sheet metal to push it out from the inside out.

 

I had a dent removed "paintless dent removal / PDR" the paint was not scratched the process worked out just great. cost $100.00. Good luck with your repair.

 

Thanks. I will look into the dentless repair if I get a dent with no scratches. I got a new estimate and the repair place will only need my mini for 4 days instead of 7-10 days. It goes and gets fixed in three weeks. Then I get to see what rental car I will get.
