Trading in the MINI
Sad to go, but I am trading in my mini for a 2012 Black Chevrolet Camaro SS. Keep your eyes open on the marketplace, I might be selling some things from my MINI...... It's been a good 2 years, 1 month, and 10 days of being on this site, you helped me with everything! Just wanted to say thanks! Anyways my Camaro is already built and it being shipped from a dealer in Pennsylvania to Connecticut, it has..

Wow,we just did the opposite buy.
My wife had '10 SS fully loaded.Got rid of it because of the gas prices.
I would think that chevy got all the bugs worked out of them by now.
My wife's had to have the lifters and exhaust replaced under warranty because of a service bulliton. Also the carpet had to be replaced two times because of defects.Oh and then there was an oil pan leak!

Depending on how they're driven, I wouldn't be surprised if the SS isn't all that far off from an R53 in MPG. The newer turbocharged MINIs are a lot better in that regard. And NA models are better new versus old, as well. Anyway, good luck with the new cars (both of you). I'm in CT, so if something catches my eye, it would be an easy transaction.

Camaro SS, very nice! A blast to drive, enthusiastic fan base, lotsa options for further modifications. Hmmm, familiar ring to all that :-).
The other stall of our garage houses a fire-breather, Stacy's Z06. As far as mpg, if you're talking mostly highway miles, it has no trouble managing 27-29 mpg. It helps that 6th is geared so tall...it runs 1500 rpm or so at 65. They weren't like this "back in the day", for sure!
