Extended Warranty (not maintainance)

I do a lot of driving down here in south Florida and in less than a year I already tacked on 20k miles. I love everything about the Mini and cant see myself driving anything else for a long time! That being said I do not want to be stuck without a warranty in what will probably be less than a year. So, do I pay close to 3k (in installments) for the 100k mile warranty, or trade it in when it hits 50k?

Wow that's my story almost word for word.

I'm stressing out because the warranty is coming up...I have a couple concerns about my car that an extended warranty could ease but they are so pricey. My insurance company had one that jumped one thousand dollars in a couple months I guess because of mileage and year.

The potential costs of something failing scare me as much as putting up all that money for a warranty that has some shady exclusions and terms.

I'm with you man...I'm just as puzzled.

I'll probably wait to see if I will be getting a pay raise and see how things go money-wise. I look forward to the responses you will get.

I can easily put 20K a year on my cars... Luckily I have another car to help with that, which should put me at about 15K/yr so I should be within warranty for 3 yrs. That being said, the MINI is sooooo much fun to drive that I want as much seat time as possible. self control is hard!

So you bought a dealer warranty not "MINI" warranty? Or are you just stating that the dealer had problems with the warranty in general?

I will look into this and hopefully my dealer has a warranty aside from the BMW one. Thanks!
