Wish all parking spots were this large

I was lucky enough to get this cushy spot during lunch today and had to snap an iPhone shot. It would be great if all spots were this wide and roomy since it would definitely lessen the chances of door dings.

Funny you should post this...every time I look at a parking space before pulling in, and I think it's going to be a tight fit, it turns out I have much more room than I expected! Love my little mini

I LOVE it! I am so neurotic about parking. I am one of those who looks for an end spot or a place far away from people. My boyfriend is amazed at how many times I park in these out of the way spots only to come out to have some big SUV right next to me. Just this weekend I parked with 4 empty spots to my left and 2 to my right, and came out to a minivan right up on my left side. *sigh*

For some reason, people always think I want to share those spots with them.

Hey Not4No1

Why did you park so close to that car?

Could you not see his passenger would not be able to get in.

How did you get out? Did you put the top down?

My jersey attitude would come out if someone EVER parked that close to my mini ... but in parking lots that are packed i always bit the bullet and park far away and walk, plus its healthier. But if they park like this always id do something to ensure they never do again LOL

but the picture is funny and could def fit two minis in that spot. your car looks lonely lol ...

I'd spit all over that VW. What a d-bag.

There's a transformer box in the middle of my work parking lot, so the two spots next to it are great. I can pull up REALLY close to the protective cement poles around the box and leave a good three feet to the line. Failing that, I try to get beside some other "nice" cars that the bosses drive. Audi A8, Nissan 370Z, and an enormous Bentley the size of a school bus.

And a few nice Llllooonnnngggg scratches to go with the 4 flat tires after I left!!

I've always parked Molly out in BFE, before Hubby got his '10 Kia Soul SE#3 Shadow Dragon "SMAUG", he would wonder why we'd have to walk so far into the stores, well now...he parks "SMAUG" out in BFE too!!

First of all, I know how you got that extra large parking space; you carry a can of black spray paint in the boot !

Second, if someone parked that close to me, I would loosen the air valve just enough to create a slow leak and put a small hole in the air cap, and super glue the cap on so he can't get it off to put more air in the tires ! ! !

That above or break alot of glass in his space so he can't park there . . . . . . .

.... The 'E' stands for "Egypt", and the dirty-word filter won't let us tell you what the BF stands for...

I wouldn't damage the VW, but I would leave a nasty note.

Thing is my MINI is not my daily driver. I drive a 93 BMW 525iT with a 194k miles on it which is currently under going a headgasket replacement. Even if he parked that cose to my beater I would still key the crap out of his car. It is a matter of park like an *** hole get treated like an *** hole.

Also double checking the picture it was probably a good thing that you pulled your mirrors in because that dud would have taken it clear off if you hadn't.

....

This is more my style...or remove the valvestems and tape the to the windshield. This way they know the screwed up but you did no physical damage really.

Oh my god.... I would have been so pissed. Holy.......
Wouldn't have keyed it, but definitely would have let all the air out and glued the caps back on so he couldn't put air in. What an a$$.

I'm always "that guy" that parks 100000 miles away from everyone, but I always manage to get some mommy mini van park right next to me.

I'm still adjusting to the size compared to my last car, an Audi A4 wagon. I still haven't gotten used to the turning radius when backing in to a spot, I'm still oversteering thinking I'm in something twice as long
