I just realized that I am missing the left side (exhaust) heat shield. What is the item number? Its a 2011 Clubman S. Assuming that they forgot to install it at the plant.

Can you say warranty. Call them up and have them take a look.

 

yes, for sure I will. I just wanted to explain it to them with the part number so that they can order the part in advance instead of me going in and them telling me to come back once they get the piece.

 

I have a 2011 MCS Clubman also missing the left rear muffler heat shield.Has the heat shield been deleted by the factory on all new MINI's ?

 

They won't take your word for it. They'll want to see it first. At least that's been my experience on things like that. They don't think the customer knows what they're talking about.

 

Hi, the pic i included was from a 2010 R55. Maybe they ran out of supply because it just does not make any sense. Same heat from both right and left exhaust and plus the gas tank is on the left of he car. My 2011 R55 was built in August 2011.
I will see what the Mini of SF says.
