I don't know if anybody else does this, but I have my maintenance record online at a google spreadsheet.

I first did this with my Ducati, just so I could keep the record all in one place. And when I put the bike up for sale I shared the link with prospective buyers so they could read the history for themselves. The new buyer had the option of saving their own copy online or in Excel or whatever and continuing to add lines if they wished. I made one for my CBR, which has entries for my trip routes and stuff. And now another one for the Mini.

Since I used Carfax, the first half of the sheet is what Carfax told me about the car. I was never able to quite locate Mini USA's maintenance record; if I get a copy I'll add that.

I was just now adding a gas entry and I noticed I've got almost 1,000 miles since my Midlands rebuild. So far so good. So far so good...

I know I have more of them online somewhere but my Picassa web folders are kind of disorganized. I have like 900 photos of the transmission rebuild I still have to sort through.

 

I also keep a maintenance record of my MINI but I just have it on my phone, saved in a simple text file. Although I don't put how much I've spent as that will only depress me

I use MINIUSA Owner's Resources (aka Owner's Lounge)!! Was even able to send my SA a note on what Service Order to look at to see whether or not Molly's Front Brakes had been replaced.

 

+1 -- The GasCubby iPhone app is a nice, easy, and convenient tool for tracking fuel and maintenance statistics.

I don't necessarily get depressed by the $$ spent; tends to be offset by the record of superb fuel mileage.
