New PePpEr wHiTe owner here! I'll post pics when my new 2013 comes back from the MINI body shop (lost my windshield to a stone kicked up from a car ahead of me). It's a Green Park edition so I'm a bit of an odd duck here. The order got screwed up and the green bonnet stripes were never installed - so while I wait for them, I get to see if I like the more "pure" naked pepper white bonnet ("hood" here in the states). Who knows - when the stripes come in, I may just pick them up and put them in a drawer.

So how do you join this club?

 

While I can't answer your question, I will be pick-up my PW/B Baker Street edition tomorrow night. I was at the dealership on Saturday and saw my first green park, If I had seen one prior to ordering the baker street it would have made my choice much more difficult.

I joined the ranks of the MINI owners (a 2012 PW) about a month ago and have just now found this thread. It's the first time I've ever really l.o.v.e.d. a car.

If #1972 still isn't taken... I'd love for it to be mine

I haven't posted in here since 2009-ish. After a few years of BMWs and an '03 BRG Cooper S, I am coming back to the peerage. Keep #05 open for an '06 Cooper S. I'll show pics once the deal is done.

 

I have recenty acquired a 2010 Pepper White JCW and would like to join the Peerage list. Any available number will be OK.

My previous car was an Eclipse Gray MCS but I could not resist the JCW having decided that Pepper White is the best colour.

I will post pictures when the weather improves here in the UK.

Hyde Park Edition here: MINI "Cocoa-per" S whom we just call Cocoa

Where the Green Park green in the stripes the Hyde park has chocolate; but where the Green Park has chocolate (stripe outline) the Hyde Park has green. This is both on the bonnet and the side stripes. Also, the Hyde Park has a chocolate roof and the Green Park a green roof. I must say, tho, that the chocolate is so dark people often think it is black.

Can't believe I haven't been back here in over a year.

I see the number I wanted was taken, so how about 007? My MINI is named Moneypenny because my license plate has a 007 on it.

Yeah, I realize that Bond never drove a MINI, but I like to think he might have in his free time. You know - to be inconspicuous.

Besides, our MINIs are built by BMW, so it's close enough.

Just to be on the safe side, I have the Austin Powers theme song AND the James Bond theme song on my MP3 player.

Thanks! As they say, all's well that ends well. And as for the Bridgespokes, I used to hate putting them back on in the winter when they were stock silver. Now that they're black, I enjoy my winters.

 

Lurking future member here; PW/CR JCW Clubman ordered back in November, should be somewhere in production right now. I notice that many folks request a particular number when they join, and I bet that most of those have a special meaning or story behind them. A few are mentioned with the request; anybody else care to share the special significance of your number?

I'll start by requesting #957 - which is the serial number of my other "go fast" machine:

 

Mine is pretty simple: My Ducati ST4s has the desmoquattro 996 engine in it. So my PPW number is, like yours, homage to my other go faster machine! :-)

They have roughly equivalent top speeds. Despite swoopy fairings, motorcycles are just barely more streamlined than bricks. The Clubman's CoD is 0.36, while a typical sportbike's is ~0.65 -- more like a truck! So that awesome power to weight ratio and three second zero-to-sixty ends up losing to cars at high enough speeds where wind drag is the limiting factor.
