I'm feeling a bit of deja vous here - like I just posted this info on the 2013 thread!

We played this morning and put about 125 miles on. I've got to say this car is FUN! What a tight, responsive ride. I just can't stop smiling. My hubby and I are wondering which one of us is going to get in trouble first with this car. I'd put money on me!

i just went past 1300 miles (300 miles this past weekend after visiting my parents in salisbury & punkin chunkin in delaware) and i've only had it since 10/15/2013. i'm at work right now (night shift) but i'll be able to post photos sometime after i wake up in the afternoon

to be honest, i didn't really want to impose because this is a MINI forum but since you asked, i most definitely will.

 

You've chosen to stay with us, so you're still part of the Peerage of the Pepper White IMO. Consider it emeritus status. I would love to see pictures of whatever vehicle makes you as happy as the MINI owners here.

 

I really don't know what to say. (Everyday I see PWs and it makes me miss my kart more and more but I know I'll get another chance down the road. Oddly enough, I talk to this car as I did with my MINI.)

That's an expensive proposition, Teresa. I suggest your boyfriend surprise you with a classic MINI for your birthday or Christmas. His idea, right?

 

I totally get that. I think "rehab" of any classic vehicle is going to be pretty pricey. This won't happen for at least a few years. Between the both of us, we want a porsche 911 & 944 , bmw e30, and a classic mini. It'll be christmas for many years

Ahhhhhhh my want for one of these is real right now

I was looking at a FRS the same color as that the other day, had to walk away before the salesman talked me into trading in

Very nice car! I can't wait much longer for one!

 

Scion FRS are incredibly slow. I drove one for the looks and was majorly disappointed in what 200 hp produced. No torque and acceleration. The sales person even said that he too was very disappointed but has to try to sell them regardless. The TC actually had a better feel of acceleration.

 

I'm totally happy with my purchase but I didn't buy it for the same reasons as a lot of people. I needed that extra oomph for merging onto marylands shitty highways. People here are aggressive drivers and sadly they don't let anyone merge. Considering i had a gen1, theres a huge difference for me. And the classic sports car body as well as brand reliability, i couldnt pass up. My BRZ is my daily and it's going to be babied and kept stock.

Also, opinions are common. If you can't be remotely happy for another's decision, then don't say anything. This community isn't about bashing of other people or objects. It's about being supportive, spreading ideas, and showing others what makes us happy especially as car enthusiasts.
