Question about storing car for winter and battery

This is probably a stupid question but better safe than sorry

Is there any problems with removing the battery from my mini over the winter? The car will be in storage for 6 months and I have the battery in the house hooked up to a charger.

I would do it in the garage but I cant for certain reasons.

Will having the battery out of the car for that long cause any issues when I go to put it back in in the spring fully charged???

No prob. You may want to overinflate your tires and move the car a few inches every couple of weeks to prevent flat spotting your tires. Watch out for mice getting under the bonnet or into the cabin.

Having stored 2 cars both for 6 months or more I have a couple of tips. First clean your MINI. Second taking the battery out is fine. Third car cover even if indoors. Fourth and the one that a lot of people are going to question but, I would say take the wheels off and have your MINI on jack stands. For 2 reasons you can flat spot tires and possibly bend wheels. Also forgot oil change it before you store it.

Also keep the battery on a Battery Tender or BatteryMINDER to keep the charge up, NOT a constant trickle charger. Good luck.
