Are you still planning on putting custom vinyl on top of OEM MINI sunshades? Or did that turn out to be too expensive? I may have missed some posts in the thread.

Edited to add: Thanks for doing this Dittin. These shades are a really cool idea.
How about dark silver eyes like in your sig?

Oh and no problem! It's fun to see all the different ideas for the eyes that you guys have, but seeing them in person is going to be even better!

In an effort to avoid using OEM shades, I'm researching getting a very similar shade made instead. Hopefully this will keep our costs down.

It's really hard to tell which would look better. This one looks sort of plain. I assume that once you are ready to start production, it won't be a big deal for you to change lid or iris color for any of the shades. I'll pick something when the time comes. Thanks for the alternative.

Edited to add: This color combination looks very much like the cars style signature picture that Craig made for me.

Yeah, I saw your signature and went with something that looked closer to that. It seems to look pretty nice in the cartoon car's windshield.

When the time comes to place the orders I will need payment info and confirmation from each person that they are happy with their shade's preview. There will be a chance to make changes to colors and expressions, but after they go into production I won't be able to edit them anymore. (Please note that we are not to this point yet. I will be letting everyone know when a final price has been determined.)

I'm nearly caught up on the design requests. There are still several of you from whom I do not have enough information to create your designs. Please check my MINI Eyes webpage for your name and make sure you have given me the info for your shade.

Countryman owners: I do plan to make shades for your cars but I haven't yet created a template for them. Please be patient as I do so and submit your information for your designs.

Thanks everyone!

I see you have mine on there....just to clarify my paint color is Highclass Grey...when I said White Paint I meant face make up....so basically HCG with smeared white face make up on it would be AWESOME!!!

Dittin...looks good, but can I make one other request. Can you do the eyebrows in brown instead of black? I think that would make the whole image pop a bit more.

I just found this thread. Great idea!

You might want to look at this company:

http://www.heatshieldstore.com/

If you're going to buying in bulk from them, they'll set you up with wholesale pricing. We did this with our club (NEMINI) a while back and got the unit price below $20. For you they might even be willing to change the materials used since you don't need the reflective "foil" type stuff they use. It might bring the price even lower.

They have good patterns for most MINI models - but you have to look under "BMW"...

Nice find! I just ordered one of those shades to see what it's like. Hopefully it will arrive soon so I can compare quality and prices with the other places I'm looking at. Thanks a bunch!

If it's OEM visor, I am definitely in.

Model: 2012 MCS convertible
MINI color (eye lid color): Spice Orange
Iris color: Hazel/Goldish
Expression: Intelligent, but playful

PM me with price, and/or questions. This is a great idea!

I really love this idea! Haven't seen anyone request Hot Chocolate yet, do you think the brown would be a problem?

Model: 2011 Clubman
Mini Color: Hot Chocolate
Iris Color: Dark Gray or Gold

Been looking for these. Rum4 just put me on this site. Is it too late? I'd love to have a design like #44 "taz. devil, playful: Black eyes; brown eye brow; brown iris. I have a hot chocolate 2009 cabrio, with hot chocolate top and interior; sand color strips.

Thought I'd do a version of the Joker MINI with clean lines as well just in case you liked that better. For your question, I'm not sure when they will be available for purchase. As always, I'm waiting on companies to get back to me...
