Transmission issue
Transmission issue
Hi all,
I am new to here but I check out this forum time to time and become astonished that I went through slew of problems others had at around the same time. A week after I got my car, the ac hose broke and had to be replaced and ever since then it broke once more. The ac system is now broken also. Motor mount broke at about 35000 miles. Replaced front wheel bushings and having to replace transmission at 74000 miles and less than five miles on it. The car is worth 3500 dollars only which was told by my dealership. (less than 5 years old).
I have researched and turned out many more people go through the transmission problem at earlier mileleage than me. I was thinking about getting a class action lawsuit.
I went through many more problems but the transmission issue really did for me. I paid almost 30000 dollars for a POS. The only thing I keep hearing is why I didn't buy a warrantee. I wonder why they automatically blame their loyal customers.
What should I do?
Frustrated and angry...

You had problems with your transmission on a 2006? Was it the CVT? How is your car worth only $3500? NADA on my 2004 base model is a little over $10k. Motor mounts and CA bushings are common faults on the first gens and there are aftermarket products that are much better quality from what I've seen on NAM.
Unfortunately the transmission problem at least on the midlands has lead to class action interest which has been turned down in the past. MINI hasn't owned up and recalled any of the problems which most early adopters have faced.

Thanks for the reply. The dealer told me it was 7500 dollars but because of the transmission, it is only 3500 dollars. They just told me that transmission will actually cost 7750. They don't exactly know the problem but transmission issue. So I am not even sure what the exact problem. I am seriously considering to start class action.
This car has nothing but problem for me. I love driving it but I feel like I got conned into paying 30000 dollars for a junk.
I saw on this forum that others went through similar problems which gives me a little more insight to this.
Still very angry...
