Is Arizona's Coronado Trail Open/Closed?

Not sure if this is where to post this, but here goes. Me and some of my West Coast MINI buddies are planning to take the Coronado Trail (US191) on the way to MITM. I understand it's closed right now between Clifton and Alpine due to the Wallow Fire. Is this true and do they (ADOT) know if it will reopen before MITM? I also found a ADOT site that said US191 was having 23mi. re-paved north of St. John. True? Appreciate any help. Thanks.

BTW, I Sat-Mapped the Trail from Clifton north one mile at a time. OMG, what a ROAD!! That thing has MINI written all over it.
