Does anyone know how Mini collects our feedback on various models? Do they monitor user forums, or rely strictly on what comes their way from the dealerships?

 

Not sure but very likely. I know BMW watch the BMW forums so that corporate policy may very well trickle down to MINI. I would think more so to be honest, given how trendy MINI owners are with customization. It would only be to their benefit to see what everyones going after. Even VW monitors sites like VWVortex closely and even hired the founder of VWVortex as a sort of official representative or liaison.

We regularly monitor all the unofficial BMW Web sites. Recently, we had hundreds and hundreds of people on many Web sites complaining about a rear fog lamp. An illuminated light that was on the European cars wasn't on the American cars, and they wanted it. Within five to six weeks of this being identified, we said this is unbelievable, give them the light. We will do it.
