Armor All Wheel Protectant

Not to endorse products, but I am this time. I tried a bottle of the Armor All Wheel Protectant and it works. Seriously. Prior to using it, I had brake dust galore on my wheels (2011 MINI Cooper S) and would have to clean them every few days. After 1 application of the Armor All Wheel Protectant, it was a few weeks before having to clean the wheels again. It really repels brake dust and more. Just sayin.

I actually just used this product myself this past weekend. I detailed my mini before I went on a 2 hour trip down to the Jersey Shore, however I did notice that when I got to my destination and after further inspection, there still was a visible amount of brake dust on the front right wheel. Couldn't tell however from at a distance, this stuff does keep the wheels shiny and does help with repelling brake dust.

I don't use wheel protectant except in preparation for tracking using track brake pads. I cover both sides of each wheel before mounting. I've used Wheel Wax, the Armor All mentioned, and Eagle One "Keep Wheel Clean." Of those, I like Wheel Wax best, but it's the most labor intensive. Of the sprays, I prefer the Eagle One. Both sprays can run and show as a whitish streak, but I don't care about that as long as they clean up easily; and they do.

I use the Wheel Protectant and love it. I noticed there were some spots I may have missed on the rim though, so there is a little build up here and there, but it shows how well it works. I've only used it once, so I know for next time to make sure I get every crevice.
