When in doubt aim at the other cars to make them hesitate and pedestrians have the right to die and that's if the they are on the sidewalk. Using your directional is a sign of weakness.
I know that Boston has a very well earned reputation. Here's an interesting tidbit of information. It is a very rare day when the 6 o'clock new doesn't report about a car or truck hitting a building. How did some of these people get their licenses?
So I use these lights sparingly, but I gotta see too.
Have a great day and happy (mini) motoring.

PLUS ME.. I was in Boston for 7 year... coming for the bay area. Boston is Rude, and dont how and dont care how they drive...

Amen to you bk mini. It is an amazing show to watch every day. How more of the Massachusetts drivers don't get killed on a daily basis is way beyond me. But when you drive a mini it takes less room to get out of more trouble with greater easy and agility. All praise the mini as it is awesome and fun.

The OEM kit has always been overly complicated to install even in the GEN1 IMO ... the wiring is complicated to make the button light up when the lights are activated and that just is not needed IMO. I can wire a set of simple Hella or PIAA in half the time.

But on a GEN1 if you bought the factory bracket (or clone) the install was quick so far as hanging the lights until you encountered an AERO grill which needed cutting. The factory kit for the GEN2 ALWAYS requires cutting but the factory fix is a set of already notched grills to replace any of the stock grills; at a cost of course.

An option is to use a bracket like these from Outmotoring -

not cheap AND they still require some cutting . . . but an area that shows less

or if you are handy and can work with metal you can build your own . . but all in all a yet more complicated issue then a GEN1 aftermarket was with the readily available no-cut bracket.

I opted to have them dealer installed, since I know I wouldn't want to do any cutting or any of that. Im almost positive Im going with the chrome since the Justa grill is all chrome, but I was also kind of looking at the black since the HIDs housing is black and I got a black top with black bonnets. Still haven't truly decided.
