New Owner!

I finaly pulled the trigger. Gas prices pushed me over the edge

I bought a 2011 convertable and couldnt be happier with my descion. The little bugger really drives great. The sound system is great too.

I have noticed alot of other mini's running around here in southern cal, some of them seem to have some performance mods done to them. If i wanted alittle more power where would i start?

Welcome and congratulations! Did you get a Cooper or a Cooper S? The S has a wider array of performance options, but there are a few things you can do to make a Cooper a little zippier for sure. I just added a Cold Air Intake and a Sprint Booster to my Cooper. I also have a 19MM Rear Sway Bar and lighter Konig wheels. All of these have made a HUGE difference in how the car drives/feels. Browse the forums for ideas. Some of the popular vendors for go-faster parts are:

WayMotorWorks
Alta Performance
OutMotoring
Eurosport Design

and I'm sure I've missed a bunch. I bought an aFe Cold Air Intake from VAC Motorsports and I'm lovin' it.

Don't forget to post a picture of your new ride!

Ahh, well I don't know much about emissions laws, etc. Things are different up in the Great White North. There's lots of info though, browse the Modifications forum, ask questions, browse vendor pages.. you'll find lots of information.
