Coolest thing, is when you see another mini... then find 50 more behind them. Mini of the Mainline (philly) group did a motoring event (right near my house), like an idiot I missed it (but then not really)... Well as we were driving to a friends, we ran across 50 minis heading the opposite way. Waves and flashes abound. I will make sure to make the next event!

We turned around and followed them for a few miles just to show support.

I know but only after I just googled it!

btw, I've always loved MGs and Triumphs. My very first car was almost a triumph spitfire but it broke down during the test drive and that was the end of that.

Eventually the "fad" caught on for all those in weird little cars with names like Triumph, Jaguar, Maserati, MG, Austin, Saab, Simca, etc.
Got first wave in 1958 driving a MG TC.
I think it was a wave, could only go about 50 mph at the time.

Morris Garages!

I have three MGs, a '80 MGB, a '69 BGT, and a '52 TD.

Yes this definitely works, I do landscaping and when ever I see MINI on my route I tag them with a card and of they are there I will tell them about it. I have yet to find anyone who wasn't somewhat interested.

Some people actually get really excited, they just had no idea about the MINI possibilities.

I was on a road trip to florida a couple years ago and as I was driving through Georgia I came across a Mini convoy going the other way. They were all waving like crazy..or maybe that was just me

I got flashed by another MINI on Sunday and it took me so long to figure out what they were doing that I didn't flash back. I've never been flashed by a MINI before.

i want the days of the R53 back, I miss those where it was rare to see another mini on the road, i really miss my R53 too
Wow, it sounds like you have a lot of MINIs in your area. I live in the Northwestern suburbs of Philly and they are still very scarce around here. I'm lucky if I see 1 or 2 a day on my way back and forth to work.

My faith was restored yesterday when I received a great big smiling wave from a guy in a very nice CR/B R53 with black bonnet stripes and tinted windows.
