Mini Etiquette
Coolest thing, is when you see another mini... then find 50 more behind them. Mini of the Mainline (philly) group did a motoring event (right near my house), like an idiot I missed it (but then not really)... Well as we were driving to a friends, we ran across 50 minis heading the opposite way. Waves and flashes abound. I will make sure to make the next event!
We turned around and followed them for a few miles just to show support.

I know but only after I just googled it!
btw, I've always loved MGs and Triumphs. My very first car was almost a triumph spitfire but it broke down during the test drive and that was the end of that.

The waves were imported from Europe after WW2.
The troops were bring home these crazy little things called "Sports Cars".
You could 2 months before you saw another Healey 100-4.
The "sports car" people started waving to one another because there were so few of them on the road.
Eventually the "fad" caught on for all those in weird little cars with names like Triumph, Jaguar, Maserati, MG, Austin, Saab, Simca, etc.
Got first wave in 1958 driving a MG TC.
I think it was a wave, could only go about 50 mph at the time.
How many people know what MG stands for?

I have three MGs, a '80 MGB, a '69 BGT, and a '52 TD.

many local clubs have templates for bus' cards you can print to 'tag' cars and encourage enthusiasm

Some people actually get really excited, they just had no idea about the MINI possibilities.

ive literly given up, when i pulled up to a red light i saw a mini pull up across from me, then over to my left then right as the light turned green another to the right of me, it was legitimately an intersection of mini's....albeit people that drive civics/corola's dont even have that happen to them.
That very same day i counted a total of 23 mini's....including the person that has a new clubman in schools parking lot
But only 2 of them were R53's the rest were R56's....proof that the mini has become a grocery getter/ puddle jumper
i want the days of the R53 back, I miss those
where it was rare to see another mini on the road, i really miss my R53 too
